This thing is awesome. I won't lie, sticky traps might be a bit quicker than using this corduroy roller thing, but this doesn't have to be replaced or have sticky refills. The nap on the fabric grabs the hairs and the rolling action moves the hairs up into the bin, where they clump together. When you're done rolling the hair off the surface, you open the trap door and empty the bin into the trash. This works very well for ordinary hair-on-fabric surfaces like couches, ottomans, and blankets. Is it going to pick up every single hair? Maybe not. And rolling from different directions helps get more hair than just rolling back and forth one way. But it's enough for a quick cleanup of the places the cat likes to lay most often. It's not going to do a thing for dander or dust or fine particles like small lint, but it does well for regular cat hair (like shorthaired cats). I have had a couple of instances where the thumb release on the bin was too close to where I had my hands on the handle while using it, but I feel this is minor and doesn't override the benefit of not needing to resupply this thing with consumable refills.

This is not a roller - the name is a little misleading. This is a self-cleaning lint brush. It does not roll like a sticky roller. It works by using short back and forth motions on supported surfaces with tight fabric; the hair is picked up by the lint brush when moved in one direction, and then pushed into the catch bin when moved in the opposite direction, where it is deposited. It works very well on couch/chair seat cushions and arms, no-nap floor rugs (like Ruggable rugs). It doesn’t work well on fabrics that have little or no support or tension; you can’t use it effectively on an article of clothing laid out on a table for example, or a throw pillow. I like it and use it in conjunction with a sticky roller to help reduce my roller sheet waste, but it isn’t effective in all situations. It is, however, exactly what I was expecting it to be and effective when used as it is meant to be used.

Wow, this thing really works. What a great invention. We have two big dogs, two cats, and two rabbits, so we have some fur/hair issues. It traps the fur/hair on the roller and the cool thing is that is self-cleans into itself. We have not emptied the compartment that collects the debris yet, but it is filling up. Compare this to the one-sheet adhesive tape kind that we used for years -- it was one and done. This thing is way less wasteful and more efficient. Yeah.

I bought this 2 years ago and I love it. I have two cats and I was going through the sticky rollers very fast. This has saved me so much money in rollers. At first it is a little awkward, but once you get a feel for it, it works very well. You roll it one direction a few times then you roll the opposite direction, and the lint and fir go into the trap.I just pulled a fuzzy blanket out of the dryer and it was covered in lint balls. I would have used probably 100 strips of sticky roller, but I used this and it worked beautifully and I decided it was time to write this review. Dumping the lint and fir from the little trap is very satisfying.

Bought this for my mom and her furry daughter ( long hair cat)She is absolutely amazed at how much hair it picks up and the quality of this product is great!Not only does it do well on the furniture but my furry sister will let my mother roll this up and down her belly and back lol so it's really a two and one Product! The cat automatically lays down when my mom brings it out lol thank you for a Great Product and a Great Price !!
