Are batteries necessary? What battery specifications are required?
The feeder doesn’t come with batteries, you need to prepare three D-cell batteries as backup power in case of power failure. Don’t use rechargeable batteries.
Are the portion sizes configurable?
Each portion size is 5g, about 1/24 cup. You can up to 30 portions. For example, for a 1/8 cup meal you would choose F-3 when setting up the feeder.
How many days can it be programmed for?
Once the number of feedings in a day and the portion size are programmed, it continues to dispense daily. You can set up to 6 meals a day.
