A year later, still great!

I came back to give this a review because I appreciated how it just did its job well, every day, all with just basic cleaning. It didn't require an app, it can run on the wall and on batteries, and it has a ton of programmability to cover any feeding schedule. It's just nice when a product does what it's supposed to the first time.

Works so far but loud and terrible audio quality

The instructions vs programming experience out of the box do not line up. It’s a bit clunky method and it’s easy to do but for less tech savvy folk you might scratch your head for a few. Just a couple days in and so far it runs when it should.The sound of the motor is loud! And the audio playback quality is AWFUL. What my cat will quickly learn I’m sure will be the pings of the kibble hitting the bowl which can also be heard from anywhere in the house. I don’t mind that sound being loud, it’s the actual physical world at work. But dang the audio playback is BAD and the motor is loud.As long as it continues to consistently operate on time, I’ll be fine with it.

This feeder is so cool. You can control your cats food portions with a click to your smart watch. I’m trying new products to see which works best for my cat and so far this feeder is a winner. He can’t trick this one. He used to hit the old one and it would dispense food but this one only allows me to feed him , he may not be happy with it but I am.

Controlled my binge-ing cat's appetite

Added 2 automated feedings daily to diabetic cat's regime along with 3 manual, human dispensed, feeds to even out hunger cravings that lead to begging. Same feeding amount, but parsed out more evenly. 1/12 cup minimum dispense is .r ounces of our cat's dietetic food. Custom recorded food call was learned day one! Happier and satisfied cat. Great adjunct if away and you can feed remotely via schedule and on demand. Great support from vendor for questions.
