Does what it says it does

I bought this 3 months ago for 2 adult cats. This is a really good solution. It’s basically an automatic box without moving parts which makes it simple and reliable. I wouldn’t recommend the chrome accented version because at its core this thing is cheaply made and that version is more expensive. But this version while cheaply made is cheap to buy so I’m pretty ok with that considering it does its job well (lots of reviews complain about its cheap construction but forget how cheap it is to buy, I don’t want a 400$ robot box…). This version is also big and holds a lot of litter meaning it only needs litter added once or twice a week and a good size cat has space to do its thing. We roll it once a day at night when that cats seem to use it less giving everything in there time to clump and be dry. It takes some common sense to use but none of my concerns about messiness inside played out. Nothing sticks after a slap or two and it actually works the first roll the majority of the time. It’s so easy even after months no one complains about doing it every day. The grate did pop out once but not on me so maybe user error. I may run a screw or 2 in it if it becomes a problem and it can leak a very little bit of litter while rolling, but cats track litter anyway so its not like its adding extra cleanup. Overall the cats life has improved a lot because there box stays way cleaner, and we save money on not replacing the litter weekly. With the litter we use the box will be paid for in saved litter is less than 5 months. It could be faster but we have done a full change monthly even though its still pretty fresh.

Worth it! Best compromise!

I read the reviews before I bought it and saw quite a few people say it was "cheap plastic" which had me a little skeptical at first. BUT realistically it's the same quality of plastic as a big plastic storage bin you'd buy at Walmart, (the solid color ones, not the clear ones)so not so bad! Also it's the best compromise between a normal litter box you'd have to scoop yourself, and one of those self cleaning ones that's a few hundred dollars. Had it a few days now. Before I was using an aluminum servo tray as his litter box cause I found my kitten(8 weeks when I found him) playing in city traffic and since I already had a pit bull, I wasn't sure if we were gonna keep him or not so I didn't get anything "permanent" for him, but we decided to keep him! But would definitely recommend this as a good litter box and happy to not have to scoop anymore!

I hate cleaning cat litters.

Bought one of these more than 5 years ago for my son’s cat. I hate cleaning cat litter but hate the smell even more. It was a constant chore to get my son to take care of the litter. We got this and it is so simple. * Read instructions on how to put it together * Looks simple to put together, and it is, but the flap needs to be inserted right for it to work properly. Now when I’m taking care of the cats rocking the litter box a couple times a day is no trouble at all. My son has moved out (with his cat) and gotten another cat. When I was pet sitting I bought another rocking litter box for him for the other room. It’s the only one I’d ever buy. I bought purple, was sent tan, but it’s not a big deal.

Great Concept - Not Sturdy - Don't tap too hard

This litter box was my first solution to trying to make the litter scooping process easier and somewhat automated. I love the idea of automated litter scooping, especially at a fraction of the cost of an electric automated litter box. For the 5 weeks I had this litter box, it was working great. You will sometimes have to remove the top of the litter box and the filter to scoop what doesn't fall into the waste compartment. The lesson I had to learn with this box was you really can't tap too hard on the bottom or you risk cracking it like I did. I am still debating trying this box again and being gentler, but I'd definitely pay for something more durable or at least mention the risk of tapping too hard in the instructions. Should be common sense, but I thought it'd be sturdier.

Not as good as the smaller black with chrome latches

Both are Omega Paw but this gray one the cutout for the scoop drawer is roughly cutout and not even and drawer doesn’t close to a flush fit to opening. Drawer also since doesn’t stay tight in so when you roll it it flips up so waste goes under the drawer and not captured so I have to do a maneuver of holding it in as it would fall out AND hold it DOWN so when I roll with left hand, a feat, as it is larger and heavier I keep that drawer down against its inside deck so it catches the mess. And that crude opening when I roll back and if I have a lot of wet litter its rough edges catches the mess. Not at all same quality of the smaller black and “chrome” latched Omega Paw I bought the year before. I wish I had just got the second Omega Paw identical to that first black one as I think two that size would have done the job for the two new young now 6 months old. wish I could get an exchange quite frankly. Oddly, when I bought the first one, I had read some negative reviews. I never had any significant problems but NOW I see the lack of quality on this bigger gray one and I swear I wonder if one is an original and one not a true Omega Paw but an imposter! @OmegaPaw shame on you! The black one is not a perfectly closed drawer BUT the fit is entirely better. Somehow the bigger one is just askew and loose and hole for drawer looks like cutout with a hacksaw. And note the sloppy cutout on that gray one last two pictures show putting drawer back in the big gray one it always goes in askew because of that. I mean how do you send back a used litter box. Yuk. Well don’t ya know the preferred one nosy 6 month old bombed my picture!
