Good challenging feed puzzle for kitty, challenging clean for human

I LOVE that it helps my Tinkerbell slow down. Her voracious appetite means she powers up food like there is no tomorrow. However, she gets food wedged between the top cover and the bottom plate really easy and this toy is hard to clean. Even rinsing it gets food stuck under the top plate. I had to pull all the screws out and fight with the center disk to clean it properly, and then the stench was absolutely rancid when I got it apart and bits of kitty food flew all over the counter. It was a mess. I suggest adding a gasket between the top plate or adding some more plastic along the inside so food can't get wedged under the cover plate. I'd also make the other parts easier to clean as well. Or you could even make the top piece the whole plate with no bottom plate and the sliding cups just pop in and out for easy cleaning.

An Initial Challenging Puzzle

My 10 month old kitten needed something to challenge her. I bought this and loaded with treats. She had it solved an all treats devoured within minutes. The next day took her less time to get to the treats. She loves the intrigue!!

Cat gives it two paws up!

My cat loves this. I started slow and put the treats in barely covered so she got the idea. Moved up to different ways to hide them up to the rotating part. That took the longest but she has it all now. And I hide the puzzle until it has food so she knows the game is on. Usually do it about the same part of the day.Downside? Now that time of day she comes begging with paws on leg reminding me where the puzzle is hidden.May get another one that is different to mix it up.

Worthwhile for cats who need a challenge

Fun, solid food puzzle! In working to ease my cat's food-centricism and slow her down a bit, we've made a new routine of issuing her treats solely through this, which, in conjunction with other changes, has reduced some of her compulsive behavior. Definitely recommend!Even though she's got it figured out, she still seems to enjoy the ritual of the chase. Two months in, I'll probably buy another design to give her alternative challenges.

Great puzzle feeder!

This is a great Puzzle feeder! I use these for mental stimulation for my cats to help prevent boredom and from them destroying my home. This one provides a nice additional level of challenge with being able to place treats inside the cups. The opening to the cups is also large enough for kibble, not just a small treat. I do wish these were made with a little additional weight so they did not slide around easily, however, this one has rubber pads on the bottom to help with that.
