More sedate and less intelligent than other “smart” cat toys and still engages the cat. Lasted 2 weeks so far and still going strong, that’s twice as long as some other smarter toys. Fingers crossed that it lasts into the new year. Only downside is that it can be difficult to screw it back together after charging.

The toy is fine but rolls funny once you add the feather and bell to it. My cats were actually scared of it at first and now mostly just stare at it rather than play.

Thank you for your honest feedback! 😊 We’re glad to hear you found the toy itself good. Some cats can be a bit cautious with new sounds or movements, especially with added features like feathers and bells. You might try introducing it without the attachments first, then gradually adding them as your cats get comfortable. We really appreciate you sharing your experience—it helps us improve and guide other pet parents!

One of two cats loves to play with this toy. He’s able to turn it on himself when playing. The manufacturer isn’t kidding when they say it doesn’t work on carpet – no matter how low a pile you have. If it’s not on a hard surface, it doesn’t really move around. It’s made of really lightweight plastic, so it’s pretty noisy on the hard floors, and gets stuck up against the wall on occasion. But the one cat seems to like it, so we tolerate the banging for him. Overall satisfied with the product, although I feel like a better quality plastic would feel better, or heavier weight might make it operable on carpet.

My cat doesn’t stay entertained by anything for more than a minute. This balls movements are so random that my cat is kept entertained for quite a while. I turn it on and it randomly rolls from room to room. It’s great for my MS Teams meetings as he can be quite annoying demanding my attention. I love love love the recharge feature as other toys I’ve bought that he doesn’t care about chews through batteries so quickly. This has a charge that lasts for quite a while. It will also shut itself off after a while (usually under a bed or under a couch so I have to go looking for it). Great toy. I recommend it for those cats that get bored easily. The only thing is I thought I was ordering ‘ruby red’ but the colour is actually pink and not red in any way.

My cats love it. They follow it and love the red light. This is a great toy for them! 🙂

I have two adorable cats and I bought this for them and it took them a while to figure out what they were looking at but once they understood they loved it! Funnily enough they don’t love chasing it they just love to look at it from a distance you can see their pupils get wide as their eyes follow the light. It makes a little bit of a sound so I wouldn’t keep it on while I’m sleeping to occupy the cats but it’s not loud enough to bother you in regular circumstances.

Put intended here. Our cat is having a ball with this toy. At 6 years old and he still wants to play. In his opinion the bell tether is more fun as he has always been an indoor cat.
Swifter53 –
The ball comes with two attachments. One is a metal linked chain with a feather, the other has a bell on it. It is easily charged, and comes with a charging wire. The ball moves randomly in different directions. We felt that the attaching chain could have been a bit longer (it’s about 5 inches). The ball does not work on carpets. The cat likes following it from a distance, but has not really directly interacted with it. It seems to keep her entertained, though.

My cats don’t seem to super actively play or chase it with any real vigor (maybe the size? or how much it moves? maybe the smooth texture?), but they do love to watch it and follow it around the house. Even though we do play with our young kitty a lot with a wand toy, sometimes, it’s not enough, especially when we are working. If we can’t tend to her needs, she tends to get destructive. This keeps her interest, for now. 🙂 The toy doesn’t have an auto-shut off feature, which is fine for us. The toy itself is whisper quiet; on a hard wood, it sounds like what you would expect a plastic ball to sound like. It doesn’t do great on short pile carpet because it has near no traction, but, it doesn’t seem to get stuck either (maybe a rubber band around it might help? probably would make it louder on hard floors though). I’d suggest purchasing this at around the $20 price point. If you have a cat that is playful and destructive, and you can’t keep up, it might be worth more to you to buy it at a higher price though!

This is the BEST thing ever when you need to exercise (or distract) your energetic kitten/cat (ie. when your child is trying to focus on virtual school and cat keeps playing with feet or jumping on desk). Battery has decent life when used on hardwood, but not as long as the energy of cat! LOL especiallyconsidering it has to maintain a light and weight movement to operate. Easy enough to open and charge. (Threads are tiny so be careful till you’ll get used to it) Going to put another one on the Christmas wish list. I really like that it’s larger than a regular cat jingle bell toy/ping pong ball so it doesn’t get stuck under the usual furniture.

These toys are an excellent pastime for both pets and young kids. They are sturdy built of good quality material, keep the charge well for a few hours (in our case over 4 hours) and especially the movement is very lively and unexpected. In short, this toy is highly recommended, we ended up with 3 units of various colours, two are shown here after intensive use of about 6 month. We might just recommend to the designer to use a more elastic (less friable) material; the ball is often thrown and the repeated impact will cause cracks. In addition the charging port (micro USB) should have additional support on the shell, it risks breaking off under pressure from the plug.

So I have 3 cats and 1 of them absolutely loves the ball and took to it immediately. My second cat is a little shy and plays with it a bit, and my third cat is scared of the ball lol. So if your cat is scared of little things and noises to begin with, might not be the toy for them, but with an outgoing fearless personality, your cat will love it! The ball really does go in all directions and has the little red light. It makes a bit of noise and is made of hard plastic. Happy with my purchase 🙂

We have 2 cats and they both like playing with this ball! I’m not sure whether it’s the red light they like chasing or the actual ball itself.
It is powered by a built in battery and recharged via a USB cable. The battery lasts a couple of hours of spinning and flashing before it needs recharged. Recharging doesn’t take too long – perhaps around the same amount of time of use you get from it.
The ball is made from a wipe clean plastic and is screwed together in to itself – simply unscrew it to access the charging port.
The ball works really well on the hard wood flooring and freely moves around. We also have a thick pile rug, but the ball just spins on this and does not roll around like it does on the rug. Either way, the 2 cats seem to be kept mesmerised by it!

This is so amazing its durable and has a very good battery life i have 2 kittens and they have been hitting it into the wardrobe and walls and it hasn’t even scratched . They have played with it for over 5 hours since it was brought i have not even charged it yet and it is still lasting . nice little box that it comes in aswell . OVERALL GREAT QUALITY

My cat initially was a tiny bit afraid of the moving ball (she is a scaredy cat) but after sniffing out she is fine with it and just loves watching it roll around. It doesn’t really get thats stuck in places and has a good battery life (plus its rechargeable). I put it on when my cat is bored however she rarely pounces on it :/ (my cat doesn’t do play that well) but its robust (it has rolled down the stairs before). Overall and OK cat toy.
